Driver 50+
Motor Transport Institute special educational package “Driver 50+” was developed aimed at older drivers (holding cat. B driving license) and designed to be implemented in centres and other units which train drivers for category B license (amateur drivers).

Crash testThe crash-test is a road safety tool to convince citizens about the importance of wearing a seat belt.
The crash-test is a Renault Maxity (light commercial truck) equipped with 4 seats in the back and a driving simulator screen. |
Road Safety Day
The event is organized under the coordination of Motor Transport Institute together with the driving school “PIK” in Proszowice, “SPEC” in Kraków, and Schools in Piotrkowice Małe at the local School campus in Proszowice. It is addressed to school students aged 12-19.

Safe on Bike
he aim of the “Safe on bike” action is to realize educational programme in the field of road safety among the fourth grade students, who learn how to ride a bicycle safely. The program has been carried out for the past 5 years and continues to attract more participants each year.

Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre
Motor Transport Institute participates each year in the Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre, the Europe's largest science outdoor event, organized in May/June in Warsaw. The theme of the picnic is different each year (i.e. Huge Microcosm, Freedom, Energy).

Scouting for Global Road Safety
This initiative of R.S.I was was held under the auspices of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), during World Scout Jamboree 2011 in Rinkabi, Sweden.
In August 6th 20134, the RSI team consisted of 3 persons flew to Canada where they were joined by 3 scouts of Scouting Ireland. AVENUE workshops and experiential activities equipment were used |
Project “Hermes”: Education for young traffic offenders
Since last December R.S.I, in cooperation with the Supreme Court and the Probation Office Court of Athens, is implementing a new training program for young people (adolescents), who have violated traffic regulations. Under this program young offenders are sent from the Court of Athens to attend educative seminars in R.S.I. Through this action Court of Athens shows complete trust and satisfaction in actions and projects designed from R.S.I under AVENUE program.

AVENUE project at the Ceremonial Start of 2012 WRC Acropolis Rally
Under the sound of the WRC racing cars’ engines in front of Zappion Conference center in Athens, the staff of RSI “Panos Mylonas” and fifteen volunteers were present for the Ceremonial Start of the 58th Acropolis Rally of the 2012 World Rally Championship (WRC). RSI was there, to educate and sensitize road users who share their passion for racing with the use of AVENUE project’s Mobile NEST and road safety equipment.

National Road Safety Week
The Road Safety Institute "Panos Mylonas" (RSI) in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (HITE) organize the annual National Road Safety Week. Activities and events are held throughout Greece, to raise awareness activate citizens on road safety issues and "Courtesy on the Road." RSI "Panos Mylonas" and HITE coordinate more than 150 organizations throughout Greece.

Prevention campaign "It can happen to you..."
AESLEME, for the past 20 years, has been carrying out the “It Can Happen to You” accident prevention campaign, which is indented for university students and people in the military. “It Can Happen to You” has reached more than 3.000.000 children and Young people.

Drive responsibly and courteously
The campaign is based on a special police operation using the broader control in combination with positive intervention of representatives of "Open Youth" towards encouraging responsible driving and reduction of road aggression at the beginning of the active summer season. |
Establishing of a local fixed NEST
The local NEST is the reference centre for road safety actions in a city or province. It is open to citizens and other stakeholders. Citizens are able to follow training courses and discussion groups in the NEST. It’s a place for sharing information between local branches of NGOs active in different fields of road safety. The NEST is equipped with high-quality material for training courses and discussion groups.
